Also, some hospitals may give some of these listed items, you can eliminate what is extra as you prepare your hospital bag.

Pain management - I pack my own, I found it handy on discharge from the hospital when everything stops and admin is all the nurses care about lol.

Bottles and formula - because every baby is different, incase we don't get the hang of breastfeeding and to keep jaundice at bay. Hospitals do keep bottles and formula but I'd rather have it ready incase I need it. A fed baby is best. Discuss with your Doctor or midwife for expert advice and read up as much as you can so that you're better informed of the pros and cons and what your choices are.

All in all this list truly covers all the essentials for myself, baby, and my partner - who stays with me during our hospital stay.
